Understanding Aperture

Question answers...
~Aperture is the size of the opening in the lens when a picture is taken
~In the camera, aperture is the space that changes in size and mostly controls the amount of lighting which also says how it affects the photo. (More/less lighting.) It also affects the depth of field, as you can see the back round contrast between these two photos. (Smaller/lower aperture is smaller field of depth, and vise versa. In other words changes back round to either clear or blurry, so lower aperture makes a more blurry back round.)
~In the "Exposure Triangle," aperture changes causes light changes. This is because the size allows how much or how little light gets in, so this affects ISO because if you have a lower aperture, you need a little higher ISO because there's less space for light to get through and you would need an average shutter speed for time to let light in, but not too high because this causes a blurry effect.
